Missouri's 2023 Teacher of the Year Christina Andrade Melly always knew she wanted to be a teacher.
"There was half of a semester where I thought I wanted to be a journalist, but then one day I called my mom upset and told her I just had to be a teacher," says Melly, Ritenour NEA president and high school English teacher.
