Missouri NEA is an affiliate of the National Education Association. NEA is the largest college and university faculty and staff organization in the United States, representing more than 115,000 higher education personnel. MNEA is the leading voice for education and educators in Missouri, representing hundreds of Missouri’s higher education professionals and adjuncts.

MNEA membership gives you a voice in policymaking and decisions that improve and fund educational institutions, reduce class sizes, ensure safe schools, secure technology resources, protect your retirement and the education profession, and expand community involvement in schools. • Online Legislative Action Center, which makes communication about education issues with your legislators easy.

• Campaigns to elect pro-education lawmakers and work to defeat dangerous ballot issues

At Your Institution

MNEA membership provides an avenue for voicing your concerns about issues of importance at your institution. Local associations advocate for improvements in the conditions in which you work. They work to enhance your working environment so you can be your best for your students. Through bargaining and advocating with the administration governing boards, local affiliates work to make changes to policies and procedures that enhance the learning environments at Missouri higher education institutions.
