What is American Education Week?
American Education Week—Nov. 18-22, 2024—celebrates public education and recognizes that educators, families, support professionals, school boards, administrators, and legislators all have a part in creating safe, just, and equitable schools. Each day of the week-long celebration is an observance of how each member of the community can contribute to making public schools great.
Mon., Nov. 18: Kickoff Day
Tues., Nov. 19: Family Day
Wed., Nov. 20: Education Support Professionals Day
Thurs., Nov. 21: Educator for a Day
Fri., Nov. 22: Substitute Educators Day
