Tuition Grant
Grants for Probationary Teachers and ESP.
Missouri NEA understands your struggles as educators and support professionals. You want to be the best educator you can be for the students in your school. You know there's more knowledge to gain, but the budget is tight, and you're not sure how you'll swing it.
Missouri NEA can help. Thanks to funding from Reliant Financial Services, your MNEA membership means you are eligible to receive a $500 tuition grant toward the cost of a three-hour course. Members will have financial support as they strive toward academic growth and teaching excellence.
Recipients are only eligible to receive one grant per year. The applicant must complete the course and achieve a grade of 'C' or better before receiving funds. Grants will be awarded for a class taken between January and December. A random drawing will be held to decide the winners. Membership in Missouri NEA must be confirmed before the grant is awarded and again before the money is disbursed.
Eligibility: You must be one of the following to apply:
- Probationary teachers in the first five years of teaching working toward a Master's degree ($500 grants)
- Education Support Professionals who are taking a course to advance career in education ($500 grants)
Application Deadline: Received or postmarked on or before Jan. 31. The drawing will be held on Feb. 8.
