The final deadline for members to get a one-time recount of their qualifying payments regarding Public Service Loan Forgiveness is April 30, 2024. 

As an educator, you may be able to have part or all of your federal student loans forgiven. 

NEA Member Benefits has partnered with Savi to provide NEA members with a free online student loan evaluation tool to determine their eligibility for federal student loan repayment and forgiveness programs. Just answer a few questions on our secure website, and the Loan Forgiveness Navigator will do the rest. These workshops provide extensive information about the Public Service Loan Forgiveness programs, including a walk-thru website demo of the Savi Student Loan Navigator program.

If you work full-time in a public service job (such as education), you may qualify for Public Service Loan Forgiveness. This means that loans could be completely forgiven after ten years of working and making payments.
