Who Should Attend?
MNEA’s Summer Academy provides skill-building, networking opportunities and information to assist elected and appointed local association leaders and emerging leaders. The conference offers engaging activities, practical strategies, valuable information and materials local associations can use to build strong locals and support MNEA and NEA programs.
The conference program will benefit local association presidents and other officers, membership coordinators and recruiters, committee chairs, new and experienced association leaders and emerging leaders.
To get the maximum benefit from the conference, locals are encouraged to bring a team of participants who can work together to help the local association leaders be more effective upon their return home. Locals are particularly encouraged to identify and include among their participants minorities and young members who have never attended an MNEA Summer Academy before.
