Scholarships
Apply for a scholarship (20 available) before you register online. Scholarship recipients must have a scholarship code before registering online.
Cancellations/Refunds
MNEA will refund registration fees if cancellations are received by June 20. After June 20, a $20 cancellation fee will be deducted from refunds.
No refunds will be made after July 11, but substitutions will be accepted.

The school board is deciding your salary, benefits, school calendar, discipline policy and many other important aspects of your life. You can’t afford not to participate in school board elections. This seminar will cover the basics of recruiting the right candidate, creating a local campaign strategy and understanding voter and member to member contact methods. [Maximum of 35 registrants]
Twenty scholarships are available to individuals from locals looking to make a serious investment in their School Board race. Apply for a scholarship now. You must receive your scholarship code before you register. Your registration fee ($250 early-bird, $270 regular) will be deducted after entering your scholarship code.
All conferees registering after June 18 must pay a late registration fee of $20. This includes scholarship recipients.
When
Missouri NEA's Political Academy will run concurrently with MNEA Summer Academy and begins at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 20 and concludes Thursday, July 22. Participants are welcome to stay the following day to attend the wrap-up of Summer Academy that includes local planning time and closing general session. Fridays sessions will conclude at 12:30 p.m.
Where
The Holiday Inn Select Executive Center in Columbia, will host the Summer Academy.
Lodging (double occupancy) at the Holiday Inn Select is included in the registration fe e.. MNEA reserves rooms based on conference registration. Roommates are assigned when conferees arrive. Those who wish to have a single room must sign up for a single room on the registration form and will be required to pay a single room surcharge in addition to registration fees. Scholarships do not cover the cost of a single room. Conferees who do not require lodging can register as a commuter at a reduced rate.
Who Should Attend?
MNEA’s Political Academy provides skill-building, networking opportunities and information to assist elected and appointed local association leaders and emerging leaders pertaining to the political process, candidate recommendations and PAC fundraising.
