2010 poster/essay contest
The Missouri
NEA Human Rights Committee and Missouri Bar Young Lawyers’
Section are sponsoring the 2010 Martin Luther King Jr. Poster
Contest for K-12 students. "Dream.
Believe. Succeed. Keeping the Dream of Dr. Martin Luther King
Jr. Alive!” is the theme for the 2010
contest.
Winners
are chosen at several levels: K–1, 2–3, 4–5,
6–8 and 9–12. U.S. Savings Bonds are awarded to
first-place ($100), second-place ($75) and third-place ($50)
winners in each of the five categories. Teachers of winning
students will receive gift cards in the amount of $50 (first
place), $30 (second place) and $20 (third place).
An MNEA
affiliate or school district should host the initial contest
and submit first-, second- and third-place winners in any
or all of the five age categories (up to 15 entries per school
district). Finalists should be submitted by no later then
4:00 p.m. Feb. 12.
